Alexa updated Design

Finally Alexa updated their design to a new cool looking style. It was a boring and old looking site but new design making look better.

They have updated lot of things including Navigation, the way data shows etc. I think they also changed their method to calculate Alexa rank because most of webmaster sites yesterday rank is not so good as compared to other day but traffic is still same. And my non-webmaster sites have better rank now.

Some Quick Tips for Getting Free Traffic

1. Article Writing

This method is for those who want traffic for long term. You won’t see traffic overnight, it slow but more effective traffic method.
All you have to do is write articles related to your sites, if your site is related to computer then you have to write articles related to computers and it will be very easy for anyone because if you have a website then you must have information about that niche. You should write at least one article per day and submit it to ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com etc. When you submit your article they will ask resoure box where you can type your information and a link to your site. Here always add a section that is realted to articles.
As I said it will take time, may take some days or month to get traffic but it is stable traffic that keep coming.

2. Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking is a good way to get instant traffic, you should start from stumbleupon.com as it is very simple. Download and install stumbleupon toolbar. Open your site and give it a “thumbs up”. Do it for some inner pages too. Also give thums up to other sites too otherwise it will look like spam.
After it try other bookmarking sites like digg.com, delicious. Just search for social bookmarking sites, there are thousands of sites, more you submit more traffic you get.

Alexa Top 10,00,000 ( 1000k/1m ) Sites List For Free

Alexa have released their top sites link for free. It was available before but we have to pay for it now everyone can access to this list for free.

I have no use of this time but there are lot of other webmaster who are waiting for it.

How to Keep Visitors Coming Back

Big sites have more returning visitors, and this is major part of their traffic. It’s very important to keep visitors come back to site. If site have no good content or not looking or feeling good to visitors then they will never come back. Coming visitors can also help you in sales if you are selling anything.

Here are some tips to keep them coming.

1. Update frequently – Update you site frequently with fresh content so every time when someone come at your site, he will have something to read on your site. But most of webmasters are lazy to update their sites. This is the best way to keep visitors coming because no one want to browse same content everytime. So update your site daily if possible.
