My Domain name business

I am not domainer or domain name business man but I have registered and bought 25 domains this year. I buy all domains I like. I am planning to make lot of sites but I know that its not possible for me to make sites on all domain I own. Each time I saw that a good domain is available, I register it.

Sometime I got lot of idea of new domain name so thought to see them. Currently I have started selling domain and full sites at DigitalPoint and other webmaster forums.

I was reading some blogs then I found a site PickyDomains.com It pays to just give idea of domain name. I think I should give this service a try. I am not planning to make it part of my income and anything else. May be it can make me money by just doing time pass with domain in my pass time. So if you got lot of domain idea then I advise you to joint this type of sites. It gives $25 for just suggestions. If you are not earning good money this time then you can try this and if you have good source of earing then work hard with them don’t wastes you time here.

I think I will not give my all ideas to my customers, I will keep most of ideas with me. I will find good domain for myself when I will work with this site. I will start working with site from tomorrow. I have also got offer from my friend who is starting a Marketing Firms, I have no good experience with this type of work. I will try my best to learn new thing.

Webmaster related sites get better Alexa rank

If you have 2 website, one webmaster related and other on different niche. Then you can see that webmaster related site get better and fast Alexa rank.

I have many site. I have a free directory where I get ~100 Unique Visitors daily and its Alexa is ~500K but at my another site that is related to a celebrity, its bigger with more content and getting more traffic even earning more money form this but its Alexa is still ~1000K.

Why I am getting this result?
The main reason is most of webmasters have installed Alexa toolbar. Alexa define rank on visitors and they only count people who using their toolbar. If you are not using Alexa toolbar then you will not be counted as visitors. At my directory most of visitors are webmaster they are coming form search engines, social bookmarking site, referring sites etc. They are helping me to increase my Alexa rank by using Alexa toolbar and at Directory business both PageRank and Alexa Rank worth a lot.

What I learn from this?
If I need a high Alexa site then create a webmaster related sites and get targeted traffic. If I need money then create site’s get non-webmaster visitors because webmasters normally don’t click on ads, they just ignore them and normal people who use my celebrity site, they clicks on ads thinking that its part of my site.
